Teddy Bear Hospital is an informative-educational project whose main goal is to introduce children to the health care environment and medical care in a fun and interactive way!

By creating a positive interaction between the child and the “Teddy Bear Doctor”, the project aims to overcome the concerns that children may have about the hospital environment and health professionals. At the same time, ”Teddy Bear Hospital” aims to educate children about healthy lifestyles, including healthy eating, physical activity, personal hygiene, and good sleep.

All of these goals are achieved through fictional scenarios in which children bring their “sick toys” – teddy bears or other soft toys – to the “Teddy Bear Hospital’ as parents, to perform health tests using demonstration equipment.

Throughout the year, volunteer students participate in events at Teddy Bear Hospital, which are organized in kindergartens, primary schools, and local community centers to educate children.

Our partners are Riga Stradins University and the University of Latvia, but we also want to build relationships with new sponsors and partners – businesses, nursing homes, city councils and schools, toy shops, and we want to better tailor our activities to their audience. We are open to any cooperation that will help us achieve our goal.
