The Board is the executive body of the Association. Its chairperson and members are elected at elections held every fall semester of the academic year. The Executive Board consists of the President, Vice President of Internal Affairs (VPI), Vice President of External Affairs (VPE), Vice President for Finance (VPF), National Public Health Officer (NPO), National Officer on Medical Education (NOME), National Officer on Reproductive Health, HIV and AIDS (NORA), National Exchange Officer (NEO). Executive Board members represent the association both at the national and international levels, such as the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), to form partnerships with organizations and institutions.

The Executive Board meets at least once a month to discuss the work of the Board and the Supervising Council, to develop new regulations, to develop ideas and to discuss the latest international trends.

  • President – Chairperson of the LaMSA Executive Board, represents members at local, national and international levels. Coordinates the work of the Board by organizing meetings. Ensures the development and implementation of the Association’s strategy.
  • Vice President of External Affairs (VPE) – Main tasks include representing LaMSA both in Latvia and internationally (IFMSA). To promote implementation of internationally accepted position in Latvia. Ensure communication with IFMSA, representation in IFMSA General Assemblies and Regional Meetings. Promote cooperation with regionally significant medical student associations.
  • Vice President for Internal Affairs (VPI) – Main tasks include promoting LaMSA and engaging more new members in its work; Awarding LaMSA activity points, as well as organizing member meetings and strategic seminars.
  • Vice President for Finance (VPF) – The main tasks are to keep track of the Association’s cash flow, keep track of membership fees, registrations, and the circulation of SCOPE Professional Exchange Program entry fees. To keep track of the expenses and income of the projects organized by the association. Promote the involvement of the supporters.
  • National Exchange Officer (NEO) – The main tasks are to organize and ensure the selection of participants for the exchange program and to conduct the competition. To ensure the practical placement for the incoming students.
  • National Officer of Medical Education (NOME) – The main tasks are to design projects in line with current world events. To create qualitative events for students of the medical field, to promote students’ desire to improve medical education.
  • National Officer of Reproductive Health, HIV and AIDS (NORA) – The main tasks are to design projects in line with current world affairs, to design social campaigns related to reproductive health issues.
  • National Public Health Officer (NPO) – Main tasks are to design projects in line with current global issues, develop social campaigns related to public health issues
