Standing Committee on Medical Education is the most recent committee LaMSA launched in Latvia in 2016/2017, but it is one of the first committees in the IFMSA that works already since 1951.
SCOME aims to improve the medical education system. It enables students to develop themselves both professionally and personally. Throughout the world, SCOME members or SCOMEdians contribute to the development of medical education by organizing workshops, seminars, and lectures on current topics. Together, we work to create sustainable change for the world for ourselves as medical students, future generations, and future patients who are the ultimate beneficiaries of our education.
2020 plans :
- Patient Investigation Project – in collaboration with international students in Latvia
- Sign language courses
- SWG / Small Working Group / SCOME development in Latvia
- LGBTI seminar
